| Nastapodi is a competition entry for the Habitare design competition 2007. The task was to design a space for reading. Nastapodi is a flat-pack system, a sphere that simultaneously acts as a bookshelf and as a reading enclosure. All components can be easily dismantled and assembled into a flat package for transport. The approaching user first opens the enclosing translucent curtain, chooses a book, closes the curtain and enters the enclosure. The curtain provides shading and even lighting for the interior. | |||
